How Much Is Chiropractic Without Insurance in Jacksonville?
At Full Swing Healthcare in Jacksonville, self-pay chiropractic care starts with a transparent rate for your initial visit and a lower flat rate for follow-up adjustments. No hidden fees and no pressure to commit to a long package upfront.
A patient found us through a friend who lived near TPC Sawgrass and drove down Beach Blvd to our clinic after his insurance lapsed between jobs. He had a disc problem he had been managing for years and didn't want to wait until his new coverage kicked in. He asked what it would cost out of pocket. We told him the initial visit rate, which covered his full assessment, orthopedic exam, and first adjustment, and the follow-up rate for subsequent visits. He came in three times over six weeks, his disc settled, and he was back to his golf game before his new insurance was even active. He later told us the transparency on pricing was the reason he called instead of waiting. That was the point.
Self-Pay Rates at Full Swing Healthcare
Our current self-pay structure for chiropractic care is:
- Initial visit: $115. This covers your full health assessment, orthopedic and neurological examination, review of any existing imaging you bring, and your first chiropractic adjustment. Plan for 45 to 60 minutes at your first appointment.
- Follow-up adjustment: $50. A standard follow-up chiropractic adjustment with progress reassessment. Most follow-up visits run 20 to 30 minutes.
- Adjustment with soft tissue work: $75. A combined session that includes a chiropractic adjustment plus soft tissue work such as IASTM scraping, cupping, or myofascial release in the same visit.
These rates apply when you are not using health insurance for your visit. If you carry a plan that covers chiropractic, you are required to use your insurance benefits. Rates are subject to change. Call us at (904) 539-3352 for current pricing on acupuncture, shockwave therapy, and massage, as those are priced separately.
What the Initial Visit Includes
Your first visit is not just an adjustment. Dr. Muren or Dr. Eric Hall completes a full intake that covers your health history, the mechanism of your current complaint, any prior imaging or treatment, and a hands-on orthopedic and neurological exam. That assessment determines what technique is appropriate for your presentation and what a realistic treatment plan looks like. You will leave with a clear understanding of what is going on and what it will take to address it.
Payment Options
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, HSA cards, and FSA cards. If you have a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account, chiropractic care qualifies as an eligible expense under both. Many patients without traditional insurance coverage use their HSA or FSA to manage chiropractic costs throughout the year.
Is It Worth It Without Insurance
For most musculoskeletal complaints, a course of chiropractic care at self-pay rates is a defined expense with a predictable endpoint. Chronic pain management through medications, repeated urgent care visits, and ongoing physical therapy without an underlying mechanical fix can cost more over time with less resolution. Dr. Muren will tell you at your first visit how many sessions are realistic for your condition and what to expect from each one.
