Before your first appointment, we contact Florida Blue directly, confirm your specific benefits, and tell you your copay and visit limit for the year. That conversation happens before you come in, not after.

PPO vs HMO Makes a Difference

Florida Blue PPO members can see us directly with no referral required. A standard specialist copay applies and your visits count toward your in-network deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. If you are on a Florida Blue HMO plan, you may need a referral from your primary care physician before your first visit. We see HMO patients regularly and walk them through the referral process if they need help with it. In some cases the referral comes through the same day.

Beyond the Adjustment

When we verify your Florida Blue plan, we do not just confirm chiropractic coverage. We also check whether your plan covers acupuncture, massage therapy, and soft tissue services. Some plans do. If yours does, you will know about it before your first visit rather than finding out afterward. Florida Blue coverage for these additional services varies by plan tier and employer configuration, so it is worth asking.
